Advice and support
The Wales Biodiversity Group
(WBG) is extending advice and support to developing LRCs in Wales
through the experience of Adam Rowe, first Manager of BIS, the LRC for Powys
& Brecon Beacons, and now Manager of SEWBReC, the establishing South and
East Wales Biodiversity Records Centre.
Other Welsh LRCs
- Powys & Brecon Beacons - Operating with a new
manager, succeeding Adam Rowe
- South and East Wales
- Partners being asked to commit resources to the establishment phase;
SEWBReC being set up in temporary accommodation with Adam Rowe as Manager
and David Slade as IT Officer
- West Wales - On the point of employing a
development officer
Welsh LRC Partnership
- Established in January 2002
- Aims:
- to facilitate liaison and cooperation between
the Welsh LRCs
- to represent LRC opinion to the WBG and other
agencies
